Description: The Sand Tiger Shark is a formidable marine predator known for its menacing appearance and unique behavior. Despite its fearsome reputation, it typically poses little threat to humans unless provoked. This shark species is characterized by its slender, grayish-brown body and a mouth full of protruding, ragged teeth, giving it a particularly intimidating look.
Habitat: Sand Tiger Sharks primarily inhabit temperate and tropical waters around the world, often found near continental shelves, coral reefs, and rocky areas. They prefer shallow coastal waters but can also venture into deeper offshore regions.
Behavior: Sand tiger sharks typically exhibit a non-aggressive and relatively docile behavior towards divers, often tolerating their presence without displaying any overt aggression. In general, sand tiger sharks are known to be curious creatures, and they may approach divers out of curiosity or to investigate their presence.
